After seeing the recent rage in brushless motors and lipo batteries in the 3d foamy airplane market, it seemed logical to apply the same technology to the fast electric boat scene.  So we gave it a try.  We wanted to target the micro boat market, make it affordable, low maintenance, hassle free, unsinkable, able to run in a small pond and haul ass.  Using readily available and inexpensive brushless outrunner motors, 3 cell 1320mah lipo’s and 25 amp esc’s, I designed the Renegade Rigger around these components using the same depron foam as the airplane guys but skinning it with 1/64 plywood to make it bullet proof, paintable and easy to maintain.  The end result of all this effort is the Renegade Rigger that we have recently made available in kit form for you to enjoy.  The kit is complete with all laser cut depron and plywood components, carbon fiber booms, pre bent and sharpened turn fin, aluminum strut bracket, rudder bracket, rudder pushrod, pushrod seal, all stainless steel fasteners and instruction manual.
