Q:  What about the 1800mah Lipo battery I see advertized EVERYWHERE for the old Miss Hydroplane?
A: The 1800mah Lipo battery advertized EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE as "included" with the old Miss Hydroplane/hydrofoam really always has been a 1500mah Lipo battery all this time! Yes, the old Miss Hydroplane/hydrofoam is advertised as "including" an 1800mah battery. Merchants that do not know better have been advertising it as such. It actually is a 1500mah Lipo under the 1800mah label. Also, the old “Miss Hydroplane/hydrofoam” battery weighs 124 grams. That is 22 grams, or almost an ounce heavier than the new battery that comes with the Miss Hydro 1.5. With the battery being mounted behind the COG(Center Of Gravity) the old Miss Hydroplane/foam is tail heavy making flight difficult. Note: The Miss Hydroplane/hydrofoam had the lightest tail and AUW than all other production hydros in the world before the Miss Hydro 1.5! Now only eclipsed by our NEW Miss Hydro 1.5 as THE lightest and well balanced Production Flying Hydro in the world. The new Miss Hydro 1.5 is also the only one in the world that comes with waterproofed electronics. Funny, I know.
Q:  How do you know all this?
A: I work directly with each of the manufacturers for each of the parts that make up the Miss Hydro 1.5. The battery thing and other such issues have been confirmed by the original manufacturers themselves. I know about all other production Hydros because I have purchased 6 different "Hydros"(every version in the world, not just on ebay) and choose the best based on construction, design, statistics, and performance, and made changes based on my experiences with all of them to make The NEW Miss Hydro 1.5 into the Hydro I wished I would have gotten in the first place by improving it every way feasibly possible, and then offering it to the world including EVERYTHING needed for RTF flight.
Q:  How long does the battery last?
A: The battery will last between 12 and 20+ minutes depending on your throttle usage. Miss Hydro can glide level at about 1/3 throttle and clime straight up at full throttle. You will get the best of both worlds by alternating between gliding around and performing tricks that require more throttle. I generally try to use as little throttle as possible to do a specific move. I get around 15 minutes of pure fun!
Q:  What do I do if it lands upside down in the water?
A: DO NOT turn off the transmitter! This will make sure the motor does not "turn on" from errant radio signals. Do not apply throttle in an attempt to get it back to shore with the prop under water. Don’t worry, the Miss Hydro is waterproofed so it will not hurt it to simply be upside down with the electronics underwater as long as you don’t try to operate it in this state.
Q:  How do I get it back to shore if it lands upside down in the water?
A: Go swimming! LOL I've had to many times! Then I got an idea. So I recommend you get a cheap regular boat(or an expensive boat) to be your "rescue" boat. You don't want to go swimming if it lands upside down in the water unless it is a nice day and it is water you would like to swim in! I went swimming 6 times...then I got a "rescue" boat. You can see it in my videos. It is toy boat I modified with a brushless motor.
Q:  Is the FMS Flight Simulator helpful?
A: The Simulator is a HUGE help! I recommend you do at least 5-10 hours on it with a dual analog control stick PC game pad BEFORE you fly if it is your first experience with 4 channel 3D Radio Control Aircraft. Even if it is not your first RC aircraft the Miss Hydro is a different animal than other RC planes AND boats so it is still a good idea to get some practice in as well. It is Important that the controls in the simulator match how the real Miss Hydro controls so follow the installation and set up instructions carefully, and then verify that the controls are the same before you actually start to practice with the Simulator. Once you can repeatedly land the Hydro on top of the little building in the Simulator with a little wind and gusts added in the Wind Options(about 1 meter per second) and do it with good coordination you should be ready to try the real thing. Also try perfecting all of the tricks you see in the videos as well with coordinated precision. Practice landing safely from dead fall and bad orientations as well.
Q:  Do you offer quantity discounts?
A: Yes! It is built into the shipping fees. For example: If you order a $1.00 part you will pay 3.99 for shipping, conversely- you can place an order up to $50.00 and still only pay $3.99 for shipping! The same is true for larger orders. Click on “see shipping table” in every product listing. You can also contact me for more discounts for any large order! I will do what ever I can to meet your needs!
